Como director y gestor cultural originario de España, Juan creó esta iniciativa para tender puentes entre culturas, no levantar muros. En un momento en el que algunos intentan borrar la diversidad, en 2 Batons creemos en celebrarla. Este proyecto nace con el propósito de compartir las voces vibrantes de los compositores españoles con el mundo de las bandas y orquestas en Estados Unidos, generando oportunidades de conexión, entendimiento y riqueza musical más allá de las fronteras.

SPANISH COMPOSERS INITIATIVE

As a conductor and arts leader originally from Spain, Juan created this initiative to build bridges between cultures—not walls. At a time when some seek to erase diversity, we at 2 Batons, believe in celebrating it. This project exists to share the vibrant voices of Spanish composers with the American wind band and orchestral world, creating opportunities for connection, understanding, and musical richness across borders.
