A quirky piece for strings that begins with a simple ostinato and melody and transforms into an abundance of twists and turns, including episodes reminiscent of big-time string influencers and a few tricky counting sections. Whiffs of Vivaldi, Mozart, Mendlessohn, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Kimber, and others can be heard, all while under the composer’s voice. Any musicians performing the work should absolutely play ‘string-like’ in each section, and, hopefully, enjoy it in the process!
